The third and final (at least for now) blog post! SEO utilities and tools can be an incredibly massive help for you and your website to increase your ranking in search engine results and aid with findability.
Lots of people use WordPress when creating their sites, as it is easy to use without having to worry too much about the back end of things. Plugins for WordPress go a long way in helping add features and functionality to your site with little hassle. This includes plugins that assist with SEO and findability, such as the Yoast SEO plugin!
Yoast SEO
The Yoast SEO plugin for WordPress is a handy tool to help you when writing posts for your site. It gives tips on keywords and where to use them in your post, including outbound/internal links to other sites/pages. It can help track your SEO rating, gives you a rating on your posts’ readability, and how you can improve it. There are more features available if you wish to upgrade to the paid version, but even the free version is a great asset.
Webmaster Tools
Now looking outside of WordPress, and towards the search engines themselves. Google and Bing have their own tools to help web devs get their site out there, and keep track of their site’s analytics.
Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools are tools developed by Google and Microsoft respectively. They allow developers to have more insight into how their site performs, directly from the search engines themselves! Can’t get more accurate and precise than that! Things like clicks, impressions, and the average position and CTR (click-through rate) of your site are all kept track of for you. Available to view at any time.
